1. CLAIM

• Next, why do you need to include it; and

• Finally, why is it an effective method of making your case?

1. Pair up with a partner and look up each of these words.

2. You will provide the definition of each word along with 2 synonyms

3. You must then demonstrate your understanding of each of these words by using them in a sentence. Word usage must be correct and accurate

4. Write cleanly and legibly in each your composition notebook (under Academic Vocabulary).
