MEDIATIONThere is a third party (a mediator) , who facilitates the resolution process.

He could suggest a resolution, but never impose it.

There is a third party who, as a private judge, imposes a resolution

Conciliation

It´s very similar to the

mediation, because there is

a third party who tries to

resolve the conflict with the

parties.

Case evaluation

A non- binding process in

which parties present the

facts and the issues to a

neutral case evaluator who

advises the parties on the

strenghts and weaknesses

of their respective

positions.

Family Group

Conference

It´s a meeting between members of a family to learn skills for interaction and to make a plan to stop arguments between them.

Ombuds: a third party selected by an institution to deal with complaints by employees, clients, etc.
