ASSESSMENT Therearethreemodesofassessmentatyear10.1.AssessmentTasksAgradewillbeawardedforspecifictasksandprojects.Thegradesindicatehowwellthestudentisperformingintheseareasoftheunit.Therewillbeaminimumofthreeassessmenttasks,aswellasanexam,foreachunit.Assessmenttaskscanincludemajorprojects,topictests,writtenreports,oralpresentationsandfolios.Agradewillbeawardedforeachtask.Tosatisfactorilycompleteaunit,astudentmust:a. CONSPIRACIES OF THE 20TH CENTURY OverviewContentInthelast70yearstherehavebeenanumberofeventsandsituationsthatsomepeopleclaimwerenotquiteastheyseemed:theassassinationsofJohnF.KennedyandMalcolmX,themoonlandingandtheeventsof9/11tonameafew.Theseclaimsbecameconspiracytheories.Peopleclaimthattheseeventsandsituationswereactuallyarrangedbygroupsofpeople,governmentsorclandestineorganisationssuchastheIlluminati.Thiscourseprovidesstudentswiththeopportunitytoexploresomeofthesetheories,lookingattheevidenceavailable.Studentsalsodevelopanunderstandingofthemodernworldfrom1945tothepresent,withanemphasisonsomeofthekeyeventsofthisperiod.TopicsmayincludetheassassinationofJohnF.Kennedy,themoonlanding,9/11,Area51andtheHolocaust.KeySkillsOncompletionofthiscourse,studentsareableto:
