- Colorado Community College System Snapshot Open access we admit
anyone who wants to go to college and is college- ready. 1,200,000
adults have no post secondary training in Colorado. Career and
Technical Education (CTE) In 2009, approximately 8,250 CTE
certificates and degrees were awarded to postsecondary students at
our 13 colleges. More than 16,500 resident postsecondary students
were enrolled in CTE programs. The total number of secondary
students enrolled in high school CTE programs topped 91,000. We
also provide Transfer Degrees (9,500 students)and Basic Skills
Remediation (25,000 students) Workforce Development Community
colleges train more than half of the states nurses and more than 90
percent of the first responders.
