WILDLIFE,byRichardFord.Ireaditmanytimes,spooked,unsettled,andexcitedbytheuncanny
feelingofsharinganinnerlifewiththisbook.
Ispentayeardaydreamingaboutit.Oneday,afinalscenecametome–thefinalimageofwhat
wouldbemyfilm.Thatimagegavemethecouragetogoforward.
SoIwrotetoRichardFord,andsecuredtheoptionforthebook.Ford,inanemailtomeatthattime,

WILDLIFEisaboutakidseeinghisparentschangeandtheirmarriagebreak–andthroughhis
