My joy comes from loving and being loved. I love Life and all the good that God gives us. Writing also gives me joy. I really like to create poems and stories for children. I live in São Paulo, Brazil and I have published many other books in Por-tuguese for children. This is my f irst book translated into English, and more are coming up. My joy comes from my family, my friends and my daily achievements.Drawing is a passion I have always had in my life. I am a webdesigner and, whenever possible, I like to use drawings and illustrations in my work.I loved illustrating this book! It’s the f irst of many projects I hope to work on for children.

Note from the author: the animal pictured on page 16 is well known in Brazil, where this book was f irst published, but it may not be familiar to readers of other countries. It is an anteater preparing to eat a delicious ant burger.
