peopledon’tevennoticesowecanhaveMassinabeautifulplace.St.
Paul’shaspeoplewhocomeeveryweektocleanourchurch!Tore-
ceivecommunionandhaveeverythingsetupforFatherbeforeMass,
wehaveanothergroupofwhocomeinandmakeitallhappen�
thosepeoplearecalledSacristans.WhenyouneedhelpatMass,we
haveusherswhostepforwardtohelpout.LastweekatFirstCom-
munionthereweretonsandtonsofunsungheroesthatmadeevery-
thingrunsmoothly.Fromthesacristanswhohelpedussetupsothe
childrencouldallbeapartoftheoffertorytoMaryKraltheFaith
Formationassistantwhodidamillionandonethingsbehindthe
scenes�allthemmadeithappen.SowhenyouareprayingatMass,
taketimetothankJesusforallofthosepeoplewhohelpusprayat
Mass�whetheritisthechoirortheservers,thesacristansorthe
ushers,orthepeoplewhocleanthechurch.Theyallhelpusworship

LastweekendwecelebratedFirstCommunion
with42outof43ofthesecondgradersatSt.
Paul’sschoolandFaithFormation(therewillbe
onemoreFirstCommunionlaterintheyear).In
thepastweusedtohaveaseparateMassfor
everyonetoreceiveFirstCommunion,butlast
yearwehadtheFirstCommunionsatourregularMasses.BothFr.
RalphandFr.Chuckreallylikedtheideaofmakingitacelebration
fortheentireChurch.Ididn’tknowwhattothinkaboutit,butafter-
wards,Ireallylikedit.FirstCommunionasapartoftheentireparish
hereatSt.Paul’swasabeautifulreminderthatweareaparishfami-
ly.Wecelebratetogether,wesupporteachotherandweprayfor
oneanother.ThereceptionofCommunionisapartofourlifeasa
parish.JustasprayingforthosewhocannotcometoMassbecauseof
illnessisapartofourlifeasaparish.Seeingthechildrenraisetheir
handstoprayforthosewhocannotbewithusisabeautifulremind-
eroftheimportanceofourparishcommunity.Itisareminderthat

pastors to St. Paul Parish. They have come at a .me of great
transi.on, which includes a new focus on the recently released

aware, our parish has also begun a Debt Reduc.on Appeal and the
Pastoral Council, in coopera.on with the new Finance Council, has
been ac.vely engaged in guiding this process. �

ma.on regarding the goals and the progress of our parish mission
through the bulle.n. We welcome any ques.ons or comments from

The rela.onship of the Finance Council to the Pastoral Council is
achieved by the par.cipa.on of six common members, including

Pastoral Council at monthly mee.ngs. The Pastoral Council, in
conjunc.on with its standing commi�ees, par.cipate in the annual
parish budget process for ministries and opera.ons. The Finance

appointed staff members in the gathering of informa.on and
dialogue on financial ma�ers.�

There will be a prayer service only, no Mass, on Wednesday, May 6th at 8:45am.
The Rose Petals Girls Club will give a special presentation and Crowning of Mary at this
prayer service.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults: Prepare for the sacraments of initiation with a small group to join the Catholic church. Call Sarah Daszczuk.
Infant Baptism: Parent sessions are required. Infants receive the sacrament during the Eucharistic Celebration every 2nd & 4th Sunday of the month.

Confirmation: Youth at least 16 years of age or adults seeking to be confirmed, call Sarah Daszczuk.
First Eucharist: Parent/child preparation required. Contact Karen Farrell.
Reconciliation: Saturdays 4:00-4:45 PM or by appointment.
Marriage: Arrangements should be made six months in advance. One of the parties must be a registered parish member and a practicing Catholic.
Weddings on Saturdays, 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, or Friday evenings.
