Penang Green Council

Established by the Penang State Government in 2011 Non-profit governmental organisation Nurtures, facilitates and coordinates environmental projects and causes in Penang

Vision Penang as a green state that is clean, safe and harnesses green technology.

Mission To enable, empower and enrich all stakeholders to practice sustainable development that protects

the environment and quality of life.

Main Objectives 1) To carry out activities & programs to realize the State

Government vision of making Penang a Green State by preserving and conserving the environment; to improve the quality of life with the assistance and co-operation of all stakeholders, related governmental or non-governmental organizations and the private sector corporations.

2) To be a platform or forum to identify, discuss and undertake projects, surveys, investigations on sustainable development in Penang as well as to carry out and enforce the policies and aspirations of the State Government.

3) To promote green industries and sustainable development that utilizes resources today in a manner that can still be utilized tomorrow.

2. Answer the Questions in the Assessment Tool

* Your Office will be eligible for a site audit if your readiness rating is at least 70% *

3. Finally, indicate your interest for a site audit to be certified as a

Penang Green Office !

Terms & Conditions

Administration fee of RM 300 will be charged for a site audit The Penang Green Office Project certification is valid for 2 years Offices will need to reapply for re-certification after 2 years

Benefits of Participation A certification plaque and certificate The right to use the Penang Green Office logo on company letterheads, correspondence, advertisements and other publicity materials Participation in the award presentation ceremony Participating department / company name to be published in the PGC website ½ page advertisement in Buletin Mutiara
