• Used as an aid in presentations– Gives the audience a visual aid to

follow along with the presenter(s) voice

PowerPoint Lingo

• Slide Show – The entire PowerPoint presentation

• Slides– Numbered pages in the presentation– We are on slide 3 right now!

• Bullet– Each summing point is entered after a bullet point– Generated automatically by pressed enter• Sub-bullets produced by pressing tab• Reverse by pressing Shift + Tab

• Slide Layout– Title Slides– Bullet List slides– Content Slides– Conclusion Slides– Many more

combinations

• To Select– Format – Slide Layout

This is a title slide

You will see these at the beginning of the presentation or

the start of a new topic.

Bullet List Slides

• These are the most common slides• Not the fanciest slides, but in a presentation

information > design• Can enter data via cut and paste to these – or

any slides– Graphs, WordArt, Google Images, media, etc

Conclusion Slides

• Sum up your presentation or topic• Most often done in bullets• Your entire presentation into a few short
