Tavistock knows the true meaning of Christmas.

“It feels wonderful

to see the looks on the

children’s faces – this is

what we all work for.”

Marianne Riach-Ferris CAS PR & Development

co-ordinator

Something wonderful happened when a

local branch rallied behind five Children’s

Aid Society-

sponsored families.

In Tavistock, staff,

customers and the bank raised over $1,600;

contributions poured in from the community,

and gift-laden vans got rolling.

Everyone, from staff to customers to local

businesses, got into the spirit of giving to

send personalized gift bags for each parent

and child. Donations of food were also

sent via the grateful CAS, whose workers

spent time making sure everyone on the

anonymous list was well covered.

Every day, across Canada, Scotiabank

employees make a difference in their

communities. In Tavistock, it means making

a special day a little brighter for people who

need it most.

Tavistock Branch Staff and CAS rep. Christine Williams

“We wanted to help families who can’t

afford the basics, let alone any luxuries.”

Branch Manager Phil Schaefer
