It’s an annual event in suffolk,

VA. local food craftsmen

converge on main street to offer

everything from the spectacular

to the bizarre on the eating

scene. Duck Tamales, Crab rolls,

Conch fritters, something called

Jar-B-Que and so much more.

more than that, Taste of

suffolk is a coming out of

people, enjoying the dwindling

days of summer and hoping to

get a good bite to eat outside

before autumn’s brisk air pushes

us all indoors again. food, fun

and people. That’s the makings

of a good festival.

And it doesn’t hurt to have

buffalo wing-eating contests

to add some excitement to the

festivities.

At 3 p.m., I claim my title with 18 wings in under 3 minutes.Victory is so sweet ... actually very, very spicy!
