Riding and Pony Club
Welcome to my first Pony Club Newsletter, I hope it’s up to standard
of the previous executives!!
It is only early into the year, but some of our members have been
quite busy. It was an awesome experience for some of the Junior
members volunteering to help Tom Curtain with his Outback
Experience shows in January during Country Music. Then, it was
great for Tom and his Team to come put on a special performance
at our grounds on the Sunday.
We had a great first rally day on Sunday, concentrating on sporting,
show jumping and finetuning flatwork ready for the Show Riding,
Show Jumping and Sporting weekend coming up. A massive
thankyou to all that assisted with running the day, and the
commitment of parents and kids to get an early start and beat the
heat.
At the end of the Rally Day we had plenty of presentations to do.
Trophies were presented to the members who had attended 6 or
more Blanch Trophy Days for 2018. Congratulations to kids and
parents for your commitment in travelling to these competitions and
doing Tamworth Pony Club proud. Members who had completed
and passed their Certificate work in 2018 also received their badges
(see photos). Along with the Encouragement awards for the day.
Congratulations to Bailey Miller and Ella Halcroft.
Recently Laura upgraded our Club website, and we plan to keep
posting regularly, along with Facebook - please keep on sending in
your children’s pics and sharing the posts with your friends and
families, this is a great way for other families considering Pony Club
to see how much fun we have.
A fundraising committee has been formed, please refer to the
notice further on in this newsletter. If you feel you can contribute in
anyway at all, don’t hesitate in approaching one of the committee
members.
Remember also to get your nominations in for our 1st Competition
on 16 & 17 February. Programs in this newsletter and enter via
Nominate to receive a entry fee discount.
We look forward to seeing you all at our 1st competition for the year
- showriding, showjumping & sporting weekend.
