Guests were thrilledwhen they found out theengagement party theywere attending was in-deed a surprise wed-ding!
The bride andgroom, Lisa Sham-brook and Jack Medlyn,hatched their elaborateplan while holiday inThailand prior to theevent.
Lisa is the daughterof Kim and CharlieShambrook of Parkes.
Jack is the son ofPaula and Wayne Med-lyn, also of Parkes.
Lisa was stunning ina ‘Lisa Brown’ whitesilk gown and carried agorgeous bouquet ofdried flowers.
Lisa was attended bywitness, Katie Sham-brook and neice, EvieJoan Barnes as flowergirl.
The groom lookedvery smart in a tailormade suit jacket andshirt and was attendedby witness, Craig Cole.
During the ‘engage-
ment party’, which washeld at the groom’s par-ents home on the banksof the Billabong Creek,the bride and groomslipped away andchanged into their wed-ding outfits.
Guests were alertedto the surprise and in-vited to join the cele-brant at the creek forthe marriage ceremony.
The reception wasVintage Garden Partythemed with the crock-ery and decorations col-lected by the bride fromopportunity shops andgarage sales, as well asfeaturing her grand-mothers (Nanny Sham-brook) trinkets.
The beautiful cakeswere made by KimSheridan and ScottBaker, and the gorgeousflowers were by TaraJeane.
Guests had a lovelyevening and celebratedwell into the night.
The happy coupleplan to travel again thisyear.
