The bride and groom, Lisa Sham- brook and Jack Medlyn, hatched their elaborate plan while holiday in Thailand prior to the event. Lisa is the daughter of Kim and Charlie Shambrook of Parkes. Jack is the son of Paula and Wayne Med- lyn, also of Parkes. Lisa was stunning in a ‘Lisa Brown’ white silk gown and carried a gorgeous bouquet of dried flowers. Lisa was attended by witness, Katie Sham- brook and neice, Evie Joan Barnes as flower girl. The groom looked very smart in a tailor made suit jacket and shirt and was attended by witness, Craig Cole. During the ‘engage- ment party’, which was held at the groom’s par- ents home on the banks of the Billabong Creek, the bride and groom slipped away and changed into their wed- ding outfits. Guests were alerted to the surprise and in- vited to join the cele- brant at the creek for the marriage ceremony. The reception was Vintage Garden Party themed with the crock- ery and decorations col- lected by the bride from opportunity shops and garage sales, as well as featuring her grand- mothers (Nanny Sham- brook) trinkets. The beautiful cakes were made by Kim Sheridan and Scott Baker, and the gorgeous flowers were by Tara Jeane. Guests had a lovely evening and celebrated well into the night. The happy couple plan to travel again this year.
