Stunningly beautiful wooden yachts with superb performance, combining elegant looks with state of the art marine technology. These yachts are immensely strong, lightweight and easy to sail.

So how are they built?

The Birth of a Unique Spirit Yacht

Hull frames are set onto a floor jig

Bow, stern posts and bulkheads are positioned

Planking is laid over the frames to form the hull

The wood planks are glued and sealed with epoxy resin

A further diagonal layer is epoxy laminated to give immense strength

The wood-epoxy hull is light, solid, and strong

The hull is sanded and shaped

The hull is faired to produce a perfectly uniform hull shape

The hull is turned over for the next stage

Light and strong hull, ready for internal work and decking

The hull is moved back in the workshop

Deck frames and hatches are then installed

Inside woodwork is fitted to the owners layout

Electrical, power and plumbing systems are fitted

The cockpit is installed

Rubbing strakes and gunwales added

Teak decks are laid

Carpentry tailor-made to fit clients designs

Deck hardware is installed

The hull is prepared for painting

Woodwork detail, all personalised for each client

Deck equipment is completed

Owners cabin is prepared for finishing

The new hull is moved out of the build shed

Yacht is lifted to fit keel

Yacht is placed over keel

Keel is fitted

Keel is fitted

Yacht is lifted ready for launching

Alongside the dock and ready for motor and systems trials
