From the Editor: Many thanks to all of those who came out to the Miesville fire station on Sunday for the Doug Weber benefit. The
turnout was wonderful so let’s keep the prayers that a match can be made for our friend and neighbor.
The sense of community is certainly alive and well here and that is also very evident each year at this time when
many people take their time and prepare the fields to put the trails in, get all of the signs and keep them groomed
all season. All of this so hundreds of others can safely ride the trails in and around this community.
My hat is off to those who give of themselves selflessly for others.

Trivia Answer
The summer of 1971 saw the introduction of this diminutive Cat. It was Kawasaki powered until 1976, which then saw the switch to Suzuki power plants. Originally priced at $399, the early models are now collector items. The Kitty Cat remained virtually without competition until the 1998 Ski-Doo MiniZ
appeared at dealers. Numbers are hard to come by but an
estimated 40,000 of these cats were put into the hands of kids
across the snow belt.

DCTA is planning a Fun Run starting on Feb 3-4, that will last for two weeks. Bars and dealerships will be the stopping places. $10 for sheet about 30 stops. Don’t have to go to all, will finish at House of Coates.
DCTA is planning the Annual Trails Dinner Appreciation at Rosemount VFW just north of town. Sometime after Thanksgiving.
DCTA is thinking of purchasing another groomer. Maybe LMC will need another drag.
