Water at the Sani/Trailer Dump located at 9908-104 St (RMD parking lot) has now been turned on for the season. The sani dump is free of charge and open 24 hours a day.

Splash ParkWeather permitting, the opening of the Splash Park is scheduled for Friday, May 18, 2018. The Splash Park is located behind the Ray McDonald Sports Center at 9908 - 104 Street. The Splash Park is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. 7 days a week, unless otherwise noted. For additional information, please call the Public Works Department at 780.939.2590.

Victoria Day Office ClosuresTOWN OF MORINVILLE & RCMPOn May 21 Morinville offices and Morinville RCMP and administration lines will be closed to observe Victoria Day. All offices will re-open 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22.

Boulevard Cleaning & Street SweepingStreet sweeping is underway and will continue as weather permits. Advance notice signs are placed in residential subdivisions advising residents to move vehicles in order for crews to access their area to achieve a thorough cleaning. Street sweeping continues throughout the summer months for special events such as festivals and parades.

2018 Toilet Rebate Program

It’s back! Take advantage of the 2018 Toilet Rebate Program to update your old and inefficient toilets with low-flush or dual-flush toilets.

The program provides a rebate of $75 on the purchase of new low-flush or dual-flush toilets rated 6 Liters per flush (Lpf) of less.

Provincial Launch Celebration — Stony PlainLet’s kick off the week of celebrations by visiting the community of Stony Plain. We will join them at the Provincial Launch celebration of Seniors’ Week. Bus Pickup at MCCC at 9 a.m. Limited seats available so registration is necessary.

Meet & Greet — Rendez Vous CentreIt’s a “Meet & Greet” at the Rendez-Vous Centre (9913-104 Street). Stop in for a coffee. See what programs and activities the Morinville Rendez Vous Centre (50+) has to offer to seniors in our community.

Centre Stage Performance — West Edmonton MallThe Community Bus will be going to WEM where we will enjoy the FREE stage presentation and special events hosted by WEM to celebrate Seniors’ Week. The free stage performance is from 10 - 2 p.m. Bus pickup at Heritage Place Lodge at 8:45 a.m. MCCC at 9 a.m. Cost is transportation only.

Seniors’ Tea — Morinville Community Cultural CentreJoin us for the Seniors’ Tea at the MCCC (9502-100 Avenue). Entertainment by Juke Box Leigh. Door prizes and a prize for the best decorated garden hat. This is a free event. Please call the MCCC at 780.939.7839 to have your name or group put on the registration list.

Lunch and Learn — Rotary Club of Morinville/Sturgeon CountyThis “Lunch and Learn” focuses on senior related conversation in regards to wellness, fraud prevention and elder abuse. There are limited seats (limited to 100 guests). Tickets available for pickup May 15 at the MCCC — you must have a ticket to attend the event.

In celebration of Pride Week, you are invited to join us at Town Hall as we raise the Pride Flag on Tuesday, June 12 at 6:30 p.m. A short reception will take place in Council Chambers immediately following the flag raising. Everyone is welcome to attend.
