Mission of the Centre

• MISSIONTo provide relevant and quality programmes in professional development for science teachers and education personnel through capacity building, research and development, resource sharing, and collaboration.

Major Programmes: Community Outreach

1. Fresh Graduate Program on Science Education, joint project with TOTAL Indonesie, conducted in remote areas of oil exploration, East Kalimantan

2. Inquiry based science training for primary teacher in Atambua, borderline Indonesia-Timor Leste

3. Inquiry based science training for primary teacher in Ambon

4. In Country-training in IBSE for high school teachers in Davao City, Mindanao

5. Disaster Risk Reduction Program through establishment safe schools , joint program with Province Disaster Management Agency and KERLIP foundation, local University.

Significant Accomplishments

1. Consistent in conducted program mandated in 1st FYDP

2. Establishment pilot program in IBSE with Australia as one of SEAMEO associate member

3. Joint collaboration training in IBSE with ISTIC-UNESCO and LAMAP (France) for science teachers in Asia-Pacific
