Chair: Richard ZuWallack Chair-Elect: Roger Goldstein
ATS Assemblies: How is PRA different?

PRA Mission 1. Evaluate the role of pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) in the context
of the current health care environment.
2. Promote education for the public and other health care providers about the scientific rationale for and clinical outcomes of PR.
3. Work collaboratively with other organizations (such as AACVPR, ERS, ACCP) to promote optimal utilization of PR worldwide.
4. Serve as an advocate for patients rights and care options for PR.
5. Promote continued investigation into the scientific rationale for and clinical outcomes of PR
US organizations that include pulmonary rehabilitation
• ATS: PRA Assembly
• ACCP: Pulmonary Physiology, Function, and Rehabilitation Network. “Focuses on increasing the understanding of pulmonary physiology and function and incorporating that knowledge into clinical practice, including pulmonary rehabilitation.” Chair: Frank Sciurba
• AACVPR: American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation
• NAMDRC: The National Association for Medical Direction of Respiratory Care
Very strong affiliation with ERS: Who is we and who is they?
