• The current PMP exam is extended until 31 December 2020 and the launch of the new PMP exam is postponed until 2 January 2021.

• “About half of the examination will represent predictive project management approaches and the other half will represent agile or hybrid approaches. Predictive, agile, and hybrid approaches will be found throughout the three domain areas listed above and are not isolated to any particular domain or task.” PMI PMP Examination Content Outline – June 2019

• Review your program’s test policies — like which forms of ID are accepted — on your exam program’s homepage

• Review study guides and prep materials, but don’t bring them with you!

• Complete any necessary system checks if taking your exam online

• Acceptable forms of identification include: Driver’s license, military ID, national identification card, passport, and alien registration card (green card, permanent resident, and visa). The form must collectively contain both a photo and signature of the test candidate.

Starting the exam

• To start your exam, login to your PMI.org account

• Click on the “Certifications” tab.

• Click on “Apply Now.” This will bring you to the Certification Program Overview page.

• Click “Begin Exam.” The “Begin exam” link will be available 30 minutes before your scheduled exam time.

• Make sure you have your original identification available so that your identity can be verified

• Note: The check-in process takes approximately 15 minutes for candidates who have previously completed a system test

Your computer will be locked down once you start your exam. You will not be able to access the internet or use other software applications while taking an exam.

• Proctor will contact you ( phone /VoIP / chat )

• Proctor will ask to see your environment:

• clean desktop; no books, notepads, post-it notes, papers, pens, pencils etc.

• use your webcam to scan your work area including walls, floor space and the desktop

• NOTE: If you have an integrated webcam, please have a reflective device (preferably a handheld mirror) available to complete the work area scan.

• Additional monitors and computers unplugged /turned off

• Items on the wall such as wall art, posters and whiteboards will be inspected.

If you are unable to complete a room scan, you are not permitted to proceed further or to take the exam.

The exam has a built-in calculator feature. Whether you are taking the exam online or at a testing center, you will have access to the built-

in calculator. You can access it by clicking on calculator icon in the exam screen.
