WELL-WISHERS lined the streetsof Kenthurst to greet Pope Ben-edict XVI and his entourage onSunday, as the spiritual leadermade his way to the Hills.

be at the Opus Dei KenthurstStudy Centre.
He will spend three days therebefore starting his official WorldYouth Day duties on Thursday.
The Pope’s plane touched downat Richmond RAAF Base onSunday at about 3pm and a motor-cade took him to the retreat.
Resident Laura Glibo was one of
about 400 people who waved ban-ners and shouted ‘‘long live thePope’’ in different languages.
‘‘There was a combination ofpilgrims and locals there,’’ shesaid. ‘‘I got talking to a local girlwho has Brazilian pilgrims stay-ing with her. There was a reallygood atmosphere.’’
