10mlpartA+20mlpartB+1000mlwater=1030mlworkingdeveloper.Measuretheamountofwater,thenaddAandthenB.Thedevelopershouldchangecolorfromgray‐greentoamber.Ifyouseenocolorchange,somethingisprobablyamiss.1030mlwilldevelop8sheetsof4x5film.

2. Developfortheindicatedtimeusingthefollowingagitationprocedure.PMK

developerrequiresfrequentandvigorousagitationtopreventstreaksfromformingonthefilm.Forsheetfilm:todevelopasinglesheet,immerseitinatrayofdeveloperandagitateconstantly,rockingthetrayinall4directions,for30seconds.Thenvigorouslyrockinonedirectiononceortwiceevery15seconds.Youshouldhearasolid“clack”soundasyourfilmhitsthesideofthetray(somespilleddeveloperinthesinkisagoodindicatorofproperagitation).Ifdevelopingmorethanonesheetatatime,carefullyshuffleyoursheetsconstantlythroughthedevelopmenttime.Usingfilmhangersinopentanksisnotrecommendedasitisratherdifficulttogiveenoughagitationandthefilmtendstoendupwithstreaks.

3. Afterdevelopmentiscomplete,Stopyourfilmusingawaterbath.Usingregular

stopbath(whichisacidic)willremovethedesired“pyro”stain.4. Fixyourfilmfor6minutesusingFormularyTF‐4Fixer.Afterfixingiscomplete,

returnfixertoitscontainer.Usingregularfixer(whichismoreacidic)willremovethedesired“pyro”stain

5. Afterfixing,putyourfilmbackintotheexhausteddeveloperandsoakfilmfortwo

minutes,agitatingevery30seconds.Thisstepinducesthedesired“pyrostain”thatwillmakeyourprintssoooolovely.Afterthisstepyoucandiscardyourdeveloper.

6. Donotusefixerremover.7. Wash,PhotoFlo,anddryyourfilmaccordingtonormalprocedures.8. Smile.
