At the end of the beach is the location of Phra Nang Cave, reputed to house the spirit of Phra Nang, a goddess highly worshipped by the locals and fishermen. They would come here to make a wish and whenever their wishes came true, they would bring her offerings of wood carved in the shape of the penis. This is why you can see countless wooden penises in all shapes and sizes scattered around.
