Paracetamol – no adverse effectson pregnancy

Paracetamol [acetaminophen] has no adverse effecton pregnancy itself, and in utero exposure to the agentdoes not adversely affect the development of infants,according to findings of the UK-based Avon LongitudinalStudy of Pregnancy and Childhood (ALSPAC).

In the study, 44% of 12 104 women took paracetamolduring the first 6 months of pregnancy. Mothers andtheir children were followed from early pregnancy.
