CONSERVATIVE SUCCESSWITH MORRISONS SITEA petition delivered to20,000 local homes andtough action from our MP,Greg Clark, have led to oneon the town centre’s worstgrot spots being refurbished.

Morrison’s supermarkets

finally bowed to localpressure and their derelictstore by the railway stationwill re-open in spring, bringingmuch needed retail facilitiesto the town and alsoproviding 250 new jobs.

Over 26,000 people visited the Ice Rink atCalverley Grounds boosting the local economyduring the Christmas period. The Council islooking to make this an annual event.

Continue to lead the campaign

for the dualling of the A21

with Greg Clark MP.

Following our success with

Morrisons, continue to tackle

the grot spots which blight

the town, particularly the

cinema site.

Work with Kent County Council

and others to address traffic

congestion in town, especially

around North Farm.

Roll out high speed internet

for rural communities.

Develop sensible plan which

protects rural areas whilst

providing affordable homes

for those in need.
