Abraham!

‘Hineni’‘Here I am’

Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah.There you shalloffer him as a burnt offering.

Abraham rose early and took

two young men and Isaac with a donkey, cut the wood and they

set out.On the third day

he sees the place far away

Abraham took the wood for the offering and laid it on his son Isaac. He himself carried the fire and the knife.
