NEWSLETTER JANUARY 2020
Letter from the Calabasas Senior Center Supervisor
Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed the holidays
and spent memorable time with family and friends.
Looking back at the past year and all of our
accomplishments, I’m pleased to announce that
we’ve exceeded our goal of reaching a membership
of 600 senior men and women, and now have 641
members. It brings me great satisfaction to see so many of you
enjoying our classes, lectures and clubs. It makes me smile to see
everyone using the facility to its full capacity.
Speaking of capacity, our programming and game room is so popular
that on some days of the week we are bursting at the seams. This past
year we’ve contracted with a new transportation company for a more
comfortable and reliable charter service for our excursions.
Looking ahead, we plan to continue making enhancements to the
interior of the senior center over the course of the year. As always,
we’ve been adding innovative classes, lectures and excursions to our
programming. If you have something new that you would like to
experience here, please let me know. And, if you’re planning an
event, consider renting space at the CSC.
