Dear Parents,

We have been working hard this year to make Network International School a greener and more environmentally conscious school. The most recent project carried out by Year 11 for their IGCSE Coordinated Science course has been to learn about the effect of animal agriculture on the environment. In their research they have found out how much of a negative effect animal agriculture can have on the environment and how eating meat means that your carbon footprint is 50% larger than someone who doesn’t eat meat.

They recently delivered an assembly which proposed that the school avoids eating meat for 1 day per week. This day would be on a Monday and they have coined the day ‘Meat Free Mondays’. Starting from the 27th February, 2017, the school will start the ‘Meat Free Mondays’ initiative.

I really hope you can support your child to take part in this and will help them make their lunchboxes vegetarian for one day per week. Meal ideas will be provided weekly. Not only is it better for the environment but eating more fruits and vegetables have many health benefits.

ယခစာသငႏစတစနစပတလး Network ေကာငးၾကးအား ပမစမးလနးေသာ မမ၏ပတဝနးကငအား အေလးထားေသာေကာငးၿဖစလာေစရန ေကာငးသား/သမားႏငအတတစကြ အတတကြၾကးစားခၾကပါသည။ မၾကာေသးမကပင Year 11 မ IGCSE Coordinated Science course ၏ project တစခအၿဖစ တရစၦာနေမြးၿမေရးေၾကာင ပတဝနးကငတြငၿဖစေပၚလာေသာ ဆးကးမားအေၾကာငးက ေလလာခၾကပါသည။ ၄ငးတ႕ေလလာရာမ ေတြ႕ရသညမာ တရစၦာနေမြးၿမၿခငးသည ပတဝနးကငအား မညမဆးကးမားသကေရာကေၾကာငးႏင အသားစားၿခငးေၾကာင သင၏ carbon footprint မာ အသားမစားသထက ၅၀% ပမားေနေၾကာငး သရလာရသည။

ထ႕ေၾကာင ကနခသညအပတတြင assembly တစခၿပလပခၿပး ေကာငးတြင တစပတလငတစရက အသားမစားၾကရန အဆတငသြငးခၾကသည။ ထရကသည တနလၤာေန႕ၿဖစၿပး ၄ငးေန႕က ‘Meat Free Mondays’ ဟေခၚဆရန သတမတလကပါသည။ ေဖေဖာဝါရလ (၂၇)ရက၊ ၂၀၁၇ မစ၍ ‘Meat Free Mondays’ အားစတင အေကာငအထညေဖာမညၿဖစပါသည။

မဘမားအေနၿဖငလညး ေကာငးသား/သမားအား တစပတတစရက သကသကလြတထမငးဘးၿပငေပးၿခငးၿဖင တစဖကတစလမးမ ကညေပးလမမညဟေမာလငမပါသည။ အစားအေသာကဟငးလာမား ၿပငဆငေပးႏငရနအတြက Meal idea မားအား အပတစဥ မဘမားသ႕ အသေပးသြားပါမည။ ယငးသ႕ၿပလပၿခငးၿဖင ပတဝနကငအတြကပမအေထာကအကၿပသညမကပ အသးအႏႏင ဟငးသးဟငးရြကမားပမစားသးေပးၿခငးၿဖင ကနးမာေရးအတြကမားစြာေသာ အကးေကးဇးမားက ရရေစပါသည။

၄ငးကစၥႏငစပလဥး၍ သလသညမားရပါက ကြနမဆသ႕ အခနမေရြးဆကသြယေမးၿမနးႏငပါသည။
