Newborn Screening is An essential public health program that prevents catastrophic health
consequences through early detection, diagnosis and treatment.
What disorders are screened?
• Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia CAH)• Congenital Hypothyroidism (CH)• Phenylketonuria (PKU)• Galactosemia (Gal)• Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase Deficiency (G6PD def)
