“It's not that I'm so smart,

it's just that I stay with problems longer.”

Who said it?• Albert Einstein was a world famous

scientist who used complex maths equations to study how the universe works – working out its ‘mechanics’.

• He was born in Germany but moved to Italy as a young boy, after his father’s business failed.

• At school he struggled to learn to read and write – but found strength in Maths & Science.

• Albert Einstein then moved to a university in Switzerland. He eventually taught in many countries around the world.

• Albert Einstein died in 1955. Since his death there have been studies of his brain which revealed it had a different structure to most other brains.

• Neuroscientists have recently found this is more common than previously thought - not just for geniuses!
