MYTH: DAEDALUS & ICARUS

• Daedalus designed the labyrinth for Minos, King of Crete.

• Icarus was Daedalus’ son.

• Minos got angry with Daedalus and locked him and his son in a tower in the maze.

• Daedalus created wings from wax and feathers to fly away from the tower.

• The only rule to Icarus was to fly near Daedalus and to not go too low or too high.

• Icarus ignored the rule and flew too high and the wax melted.

• Icarus fell into the ocean and died.
