• What is a Passiv House?

• The house has low energy consumption and it´s important to use materials that are environmentally friendly

• Triple glazed windows are used to help achieve airtightness.

Start The Passive wall

We used mineral wool and cellulose insulation in the roof and walls and we fixed the fiber board on to the timber construction.

Wall and Windows

Triple glazed windows are important because they stop over heating from the sunlight.

The wall was built to Passive House standard pumped with cellulose insullation .The wall had a

u-value of 0.16 W/m2 K.

windows

How to Install cellulose?

• Cellulose insulation is plant fiber.

• It´s good for thermal and acoustic insulation.

• Cellulose is pumped into the cavity in the wall with a special pump

Airtightness

• We installed an airtight membrane inside the house.

• We taped around the windows

• It was difficult to seal around the window with the tape.

Blowerdoor test.

• A blower door is a diagnostic tool designed to measure the airtightness of buildings.

• We installed the blowerdoor test machine and closed the window.

• The passiv house standard was not reached due to poor taping around the window and corners
