Reaction :
1. Hyperaemia

3. Follicles : Minutelymph follicles with
accessory vascularization
4. Papillae : Vascular reaction that have
been invaded by inflammatory cems
5. Membranes :
a. Pseudomembranes : Coagulated exudate
adherent to the inflamed conjunctival
epithelium
b. True membranes : Inflammatory exudate
permeates the superficial layers of the
conjunctival epithelium
NEONATAL CONJUNCTIVITIS :
Ophthalmia neonatorum
1. Chlamydial conjunctivitis

2. Gonococcal conjunctivitis
1 – 3 days after delivery
