John 8:31-36 So Jesus said to those who believed in him, “If you obey my teaching, you are really my disciples; 32 you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

33 “We are the descendants of Abraham,” they answered, “and we have never been anybody's slaves. What do you mean, then, by saying, ‘You will be free’?”

Fear keep you in bondage

Fear past religious experiences

The power of Jesus: “If the Son sets you free, then you will be really free”

His death a violent action. It was war against darkness.

Colossians 2:13b-14 God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14 having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross.

Colossians 2:15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. Colossians 1:13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

The forces of evil, demonic interferences are not to be feared – they has been disarmed.

Romans 6:16 Surely you know that when you surrender yourselves as slaves to obey someone, you are in fact the slaves of the master you obey – either of sin, which results in death, or of obedience, which results in being put right with God.

Slavery: Is = The condition in which one person is owned as property by another and is under the owner's control.

Born and raised in a religious group that takes control of a person’s life through rituals and sacrifices bound that child’s spirit, soul and body to these believes and practices.

What is truth? The truth is Christ is the Savior of this world He paid the price of our salvation and that any one who believes in Him will receive eternal life.

“If you obey my teaching, you are really my disciples; you will know the truth will set you free” (John 8:31)

Luke 12:4-5 (Jesus said:) My friends, listen to me. Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body but can’t do any more than that. 5 I will show you whom you should be afraid of. Be afraid of the One who can kill the body and also has the power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, be afraid of him.

How big is your image of God the Creator of Heaven and earth the giver of life, the Savior of this world?

Romans 8:37–39: I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord

Christ has won the victory for us

We are more than conquerors

No death, no angels, no demons can separate us from God’s love
