It is hard to believe that this term is just about over. It has been a very
productive term for all, with some great highlights. These include:
The introduction of our new Literacy Program—Talk For Writing. We saw
this showcased at a great Yr 3/4 assembly. Mrs Hurlbatt has been amazed
at the quality and amount of writing produced since the implementation
of T4W.
Mr Major’s Magic Show (Faction prize) Well done Clarkson faction. You
were worthy winners of the prize.
A well attended parent/teacher afternoon meeting session for children
engaged with documented plans.
Term 4 is always exciting and very busy. School photos are on Wednesday
19th October (Week 2). We have swimming lesson starting in Week 5 and
our Yr 6 Farewell and Whole School awards assembly on Tuesday 13th
December at school.

The Robots are coming: We have had a rather exciting delivery recently.
Through the Department of Education we have received a large number of
robots, mechanical devices and the technology to control them. This STEM
(Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) initiative will be run
in most classrooms in our school. Mrs Proctor, our Science guru, will be
leading the way and trying to teach us all about digital technology and
coding.
Tabloid Sports Day
Make sure that you have a look at the program for our tabloid sports day,
included in this newsletter. We hope that you can join us for the whole
day or at least come along for some time to cheer for your child. Parents
are welcome to follow their children around the tabloid stations from
9.30—10.30am. Between recess and lunch we have our team games.
After lunch we have our running races. Parents and family members are
encouraged to bring deck chairs and blankets and picnic with their
children during the recess and lunch breaks. Please remember to BYO all
food and drinks. We will have icy poles on sale.
If the weather is not looking suitable, we will attach a special note to this
newsletter.
