The survey link is very youth orientated as you can see - https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BroomeSkatePark Why not let your kids have their imput!

Cable Beach Primary School’s buildings and grounds are currently enjoying a significant and broad ranging refurbishment.

Our basketball ball court is being replaced, which has been noisy work but will be worth it in the long run. Two entire courts have been removed as the cement was cracked, uneven and unsafe. New courts will be poured and sealed with a sport surface.

Other works include repainting of all common areas to classrooms, cabinetry, replacement of splash backs, replacement of floor coverings to library, wet areas and some classrooms.

Additional work will also include replacing failing veranda purlins, painting of poles and replacement of sheeting. Future work will involve the staff carpark getting a birthday with resealing and getting levels right for run off.

These works will improve the presentation and safety of our school.

Id like to pay special mention to recognise the efforts of our school gardener “Wombat” who claims he does have a good game of golf in him – somewhere. Wombat has completed a garden renovation outside the administration office. This has involved a small retaining wall, backfilling in the garden bed by hand, reticulation and planting out. This space has been transformed and now is an attractive centrepiece that adds colour and shape. A time capsule has been buried in the new garden and a plaque secured stating its location. Thanks Wombat , great job.

The next meeting is Monday

June 22nd in the staff room at

7pm.
