Content Repository Example

With an installed user base that includes academic, cultural heritage and research institutions, national libraries, and government agencies from around the world, Fedora (Flexible Extensible Digital Object Repository Architecture) provides for storing, managing, and accessing digital content as digital objects which ensures long-term access, supports a rich variety of inter-relationships, and can be integrated into a wide variety of information applications.

Cost: Open source software, no charge

Use Case Highlight: Fedora Repository software is used by libraries, archives, and research projects all over the world to preserve and provide specialized types of access to very large and complex aggregations of historic and cultural images, artifacts, text, media, datasets, and documents.
