1. DUST PROTECTION
1.1 Filtering technique
The i-VALO industrial luminaireshave an enclosed constructionequipped with a unique, patentedfiltering system. When switchedon or off, and during powerfailures, pressure balancing ofi-VALO luminaires is arrangedthrough a filter, not through thepacking as in conventionalenclosed luminaires.
All components inside theluminaire, e.g. the reflector, thelight source, and the front glass,are completely protected againstdust and corrosive gases.
4. FUNCTION OF THE LUMINAIRE
SWITCHED ON
When switched on, the lamp warms up the air inside the
luminaire, and the warm air flows out through the filter drying
and cleaning it at the same time.
In both cases the air cushion directs air past the front glass
and prevents dust from gathering on the glass.
SWITCHED OFF
When switched off, air flows back into the luminaire through
the filter that removes impurities and gases from the air.

1.2 Dust rim
All i-VALO High-bay luminairesare equipped with a dust rim thatcreates an "air cushion" andprevents dust from gathering onthe outer surface of the glass.
2. CORROSION RESISTANCE
The external metal parts of theluminaire are of aluminium, onmost types coated with Epoxypowder to prevent corrosion inconditions harmful to barealuminium.

3. INSTALLATION ANDMAINTENANCE
All luminaires are suppliedcomplete with a fixing bracket tofacilitate mounting. The need formaintenance is reduced to aminimum. We also offer a widerange of installation kits that makemaintenance and lamp changeseasy.

1. PRESSURE BALANCINGFILTER
i-VALO Standard luminaires areequipped with a pressurebalancing filter that removes dustand impurities larger than 10µm.The pressure balancing filterreduces contamination andblackening.

i-VALO Low Bay and Regularluminaires are equipped with dustfilters that remove dust andimpurities larger than 0,01µm.The table below shows thecapacity of the dust filter.
3. DOUBLE-EFFECT FILTER
i-VALO Horizontal luminaires areequipped with a double-effectfilter incorporating dust andcharcoal elements. The double-effect filter also removes corrosivegases.

Track mounting system
