I’m Going to Kindergarten

I’m Going to Kindergartenat Walkerton District Community School!

There are different ways to get to school.How are you getting to school?

My name is Mrs. McFarlan and I am your principal!

Mrs. Wettlaufer and Mrs. Darroch-

Hopkins are the vice-principals!

You will have two adults in your classroom.

One is an early childhood educator and one is a teacher. You will meet them the first day of school.

When you arrive at school, you might spend some time on the playground! Recess happens here too.

You will enter the

school from the

playground through

these doors.

We have 3 Kindergarten classes. You will be in one of these rooms.

You will put your coat, shoes and backpack in your cubby/area.

Lots of different things happen in your classroom. You will sit together, hear stories, learn and play.

There is a bathroom

attached to/near your classroom.

Your school has a gym to play games and learn new sports.

There is also a library to borrow books from/enjoy books in.
