1. ONLINE PRE-ASSIGNMENTS 2. ON-SITE SESSION 3. REMOTE MONITORING
Participants will review an IEP associated with their school type (Elementary, Middle, High) and complete some activities on their own. They will come to the face-to-face session prepared and knowledgeable about IEP content, and have a solid understanding of how the IEP Analysis Tool (Tool) works.
Assignments•Review IEP using the Tool•Answer survey questions •Create account to utilize digital interaction during training
During the onsite session, participants will collaborate with their peers and review the IEP case study and compare their findings to a completed Tool that will be provided during the session. At the end of the session, participants will identify the areas of the IEP that users find most difficult and create a short resource guide that they can use with department chairpersons, teachers and other users.
Discussion Topics•ARD/IEP Process•How to provide positive feedback
Upon returning to their work locations and campuses, participants will have an opportunity to debrief with their program specialists on their initial analysis review. They will also have an opportunity to participate in a webinar to receive feedback from the presenters and share their thoughts with peers.
Discussion Topics•Debrief on initial review•How to provide assistance to users
