Patient Background

• 51 yr female, second screening episode • Two month history of a right lump• Family history of breast cancer

Further Clinical Investigations

• Ultrasound guided biopsy performed• Nuclear Medicine whole body bone study• CT Chest / Abdomen / Pelvis • MRI Breast• MRI Abdomen- Liver• Left Breast Ultrasound

Outcome and Follow up

• Diagnosed with Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma• No evidence of bony metastatic disease• Right Mastectomy• Radiotherapy• Hormone therapy for 5 yrs• CT Abdomen• Breast MRI• Annual mammogram for the next 5 yrs • 6 monthly appointments for clinical breast examination & review
