Our 11 facilities are strategically located to ensure customers in more than 80 countries can enjoy nutritious, easy-to-prepare and convenient frozen produce. New product: Greenyard Frozen has launched a low-carb substitute for real rice: frozen cauliflower rice. It’s a versatile product that can be used in many different ways. It can be cooked as rice, but it can also be used to replace mashed potatoes or make a pizza crust out of it. With this product, we offer a healthy and gluten-free alternative. Not only is this product a healthy and gluten-free alternative for real rice, it is an equally time-saving and convenient (without all the mess and the fuss) solution for consumers who make cauliflower rice from fresh cauliflower. This product is very much in line with the trend towards healthy eating. Retailers are well aware that the consumer wants healthy and easy-to-prepare meals.

FOOD SHOW
For the first time at Gulfood, visitors will be able to discover a live cooking show provided by Cordon Bleu, the world renowned French Culinary Arts and Hotel Management institute, it will be held the whole week in Sheikh Saeed Hall and undertaken by the select Chefs Nicolas Houchet and Emil Minev.
Born in Nancy, France, Chef Nicolas gained his first experience of pâtisserie at the age of 15 by taking up various work placements in local restaurants and bakeries. Having found a passion for French pâtisserie he went on to study the craft for 5 years as an apprentice at Restaurant Hammerer, a pâtisserie, chocolaterie and boulangerie in Nancy, where he trained under an award winning mentor, Jean Claude Hammerer (Pastry Chef of the year 2000). He then went to work as Chef de Partie at prestigious 5-star hotel Le Grand Hotel de la Reine (located at UNESCO world heritage site Place Stanislas in Nancy) catering for up to 1000 guests at hotel banquets. In 2005 Chef Nicolas travelled to England in search of his next venture; along with 2 French associates he set up pâtisserie Macaron in London,
where he would work as Head Chef for 5 years and take on the role of Director for 2 years. After only 8 months of trading, Macaron won the TimeOut Best London Pâtisserie 2006. Chef Nicolas has also participated in several competitions, coming 2nd in the French Festival National du Croquembouche in 2002 and 11th in the Festival International du Croquembouche in 2004. Chef Nicolas joined Le Cordon Bleu in 2010 as Pâtisserie Teaching Chef.
Bulgarian-born Chef Emil Minev was fuelled by an appetite to succeed within the culinary world after realising his passion while working in the hotel sector in Bulgaria. He moved to London in 2001 and joined the team at 3 Michelin-starred La Tante Claire Restaurant at The Berkeley Hotel - where he worked with Pierre Koffmann. It was here that Chef Emil had his first experience within the pastry kitchen. Intrigued by the artistry, he decided to enrol at Le Cordon Bleu, where he graduated Diplôme de Pâtisserie in 2002. Following this, Chef Emil trained at some of London’s best restaurants whilst his academic pursuit sent him to the world-renowned Alain Ducasse Formation Centre in Paris, as well as 3 Michelin-starred El Bulli
in Barcelona. When he moved back to London, he joined The Ritz as Senior Sous Chef. In 2007 Chef Emil joined the multi award winning Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel in Dubai as Executive Sous Chef where he was in charge of all 16 Food and Beverage outlets. In 2010 he joined the Shangri-La Group, excelling in their best hotels including Tokyo, Japan and The Maldives. Chef Emil’s most recent position, between 2012 and 2016 was at the Shangri-La Hotel London at The Shard as Executive Chef. Here he was tasked to create the vision, concept and strategy of the entire Food and Beverage division from pre- opening to operational. This included recruiting and then leading a brigade of 70 chefs and overseeing the three unique dining venues including an artisan deli- pâtisserie, a signature bar and finally a signature restaurant and lounge – offering a sumptuous array of locally-inspired, modern European dishes with an Asian touch. Following Chef Emil’s industrious efforts, these restaurants have won a series of accolades and recognition in print, TV and online media. Chef Emil joined Le Cordon Bleu London as Culinary Arts Director in 2016.
