HBM Genesis High Speed products were previously marketed under the LDS Nicolet, LDS Dactron and Gould Nicolet brands. The Nicolet brand is owned by Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. Corporation. Gould is a brand of Gould Electronics GmbH. 3
Practical uses for high speed measurements
Measuring at high speed Genesis High Speed is the modular platform for fast measurements of electrical and mechanical parameters. A transient recorder, data recorder and data acquisition system – all in one. Devices with signal conditioning for all commonly used sensors and optical waveguide-isolated digitizers for signal acquisition, even in the high-voltage range, are available.
Mainframes Data acquisition cards
Modular Fast
Thanks to its modular architecture, Genesis High Speed is equipped for any high speed measurement task. Build your own configuration consisting of a mainframe with or without an integrated PC, data acquisition card and Perception software.
Using the synchronization function, you can operate several mainframes simultaneously – with thousands of channels in parallel.
Genesis High Speed offers a wide selection of data acquisition cards with sampling rates of 20 kS/s to 100 MS/s.
Save your data streams directly to hard disk at up to 400 MB/s.

Perception data acquisition software
Analysis with high speed software
Full 64-bit software support: Perception is designed to work quickly and reliably with large data quantities, which makes it ideal for high speed acquisition of measurement data.
Designed for international use: Perception is available in eight languages (English, German, French, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Portuguese).
7
Perception data acquisition software
Would you like to have access to PNRF measurement data (Perception Native Recording File) in your usual software environment, but none of the more than 25 export formats is right for your application? Would you like to avoid
CSI (Custom Software Interface) PNRF reader
Would you like to use Perception for your own specific needs? Be able to unpack a new instrument and start using it right away? Would you like to work with a user interface that can be adapted to your requirements? Or does Perception need to be integrated into a larger test bench setup? Perception supports all of these requirements.
PNRF
Software adapted for high speed
Would you like to adapt Perception for your own specific needs? For example, designing a special user interface or adding your own cal-
culation to the formula database? The CSI feature leaves all options open for you to adapt Perception to your own specific needs.
8
Options for Perception data acquisition software
exporting and read the measurement data directly in your program? Use the PNRF reader and integrate it into your software environment and you will have direct access to your measurement data.
Would you like to control Genesis High Speed remotely? Then you can use cross- platform Remote Procedure Calls (RPC). Is your own software application in-
stalled on the Perception PC? You can use the COM interface (Component Object Model) for easy integration within the Windows PC.
RPC/COM remote control
You can work with Perception right out of the box.

The BE3200 is the high speed controller of choice, offering precise timing and optical-isolation for the operation of devices used for testing in low-voltage, high-voltage and high-power laboratories. It is equipped with extensive safety functions to protect instruments against damage during a test period.
Power failure: The sequencer reliably completes sequence functions.
Synchronization error: The system continues to work with internal synchronization.
Watchdog timer: If an internal error occurs, the sequence is aborted immediately.
Optically-isolated digitizers are the first choice for performing potential-free measurements and reliable tests in high-voltage environments. Typical applications include circuit breaker testing, switchgear testing in short-circuit and high-voltage laboratories, and analyzing high-voltage lightning strikes.
