Halioweeners Raise$380.97 For UNICEF

A total of $380.97 was sent toUNICEF by the children ofBellport , Brookhaven , and EastPatehogue. The program wasconducted through the Sundayschool classes of St. JamesEpiscopal , South HavenP r e s b y t e r n a n , B e l l p o r tMethodist , Christ EpiscopalChurches and the UnitarianF e l l o w s h i p . James Lack , an assistantdistrict attorney in the fraudsbureau, has been appointed headof Suffolk County's new con-sumer affairs department. TheSuffolk County Legislature ap-proved the appointment at itsmeeting last Thursday.

She and herhusband started a coal andlumbef business in 1926 whichwas known as Steiner's Coal andLumber Company on Clinton St.,Center Moriches.

Under (he leadership of Mrs ,Pat Wallace , troop leader fromJunior Girl Scout troop 137? inEast Patehogue, many cannedgoods, turkeys and gift itemswere collected. The many items,not only came from the various*troops but donations were givenfrom many stores in the area

Mr Gould , who formerlyserved with Brookhaven NationalLa boratory, was a retiredelectrical engineer He was alsoon the staff at the StateL'niverssty of New York at StonyBrook and was an Army veteranof World War II.

An active member ofPlaycrafters. a llocal dramagroup, he starred in the recentproduction of "Fiorello " Hiswife , Eleanore, is the secretaryof Playcrafters Mr Gould was alongtime supporter of the groupand served on many productions

He served on the school boardfrom 1S67-70 and was *.he

He is survived by his wife .Eleanore of Bellport , three sons.
