compatible with new accounting systems used by Oldcastle. Obtained pilot license with commercial multi-engine rating to provide more cost effective and efficient

travel options for attending bid openings, pre-bid and construction site visits. Fulfilled experience and knowledge test requirements to obtain company complex sewer system

installer license.

CITY OF IDAHO FALLS, Idaho Falls, Idaho 3/1997  – 4/2002 

Fourth largest city in Idaho serving as regional hub for healthcare, travel and business in Southeast Idaho.Site of Atomic Energy Commiss ion’s Idaho National Laboratory .

City Engineer Hired as the City Engineer to manage all city engineering projects and the city engineering department.Identified and prioritized infrastructure improvements throughout the city, including provision of budgetfigures. Identified and obtained outside funding for qualifying projects; completed applications, gavepresentations, negotiated with governments and agencies, and provided feedback to assure that fundingwas spent as intended. Performed design calculations and engineering analyses; directed the work oftechnical staff. Obtained and administered outside services and agreements as needed.

Accomplishments:  Procured $1.5M in outside funding from FEMA for construction of a storm drain system that eliminated

repeated flooding issues; completed design work and administered the construction contract. Obtained $1M from the Federal Highway Administration through the Idaho Department ofTransportation for design and construction of bicycle pedestrian pathways adjacent to the river.

Rewrote the City Standard Specifications and redesigned the City Standard Drawings.
