Cockpit entry is normally accomplished utilizing the boarding ladder. However, use of the boarding ladder during rescue operations may not be advisable due to restrictions to mobility, balance, and leverage of rescue personnel. Rescue crews accessing the cockpit from ground level will require some form of ladder or boarding platform.
