Background

Bandung City was selected in 2006 as the one of pilot project for Eco-town program in order to respond the environment issues around the Asia Pacific region.

One of the strategy for the Eco-town program is to develop the eco-partnerships among the cities in Asia Pacific region, such as city of Kawasaki, Bandung, Penang, Dalian and etc.

As a case city, Bandung city has to develop and try to implement the Eco-town concept regarding to the local perspective, which includes the plan, regulation, institution, program and activities.
