The Nigerian Society of Engineers, Maitama branch breaks new grounds with its free training

programme. The branch held free training programme on Substa�on Installa�on and Tes�ng and Introduc�on Geotechnical Engineering.

programme was held on Saturday, 22 May, 2019 at Gwarimpa, the Federal C a p i t a l Te r r i t o r y. T h e t ra i n i n g programme was coordinated by Engr. Dipo Agboola, MNSE the branch Technical Secretary while Engr. Taiwo Adeolu, MNSE lead the team of facilitator for the training.

thEngineering was held on Saturday, 15 June, 2019 at Raw Materials Research and Development Council. The led facilitator, Engr. Tunde Jimoh, MNSE, the CEO, Terracon Engineering Company Limited.

The training programme was ably supported by Engr. Tasiu Saad Gidari-Wudil, FNSE, the vice president of the society.

D ignity Engineers paid a Congratulatory/Courtesy visits to the President and

Registrar of Council for the Regula�on of Engineering in Nigeria, (COREN) Engr. Rabiu Ali, FNSE and Prof. Joseph Odigure on Thursday,

Engr Rabiu was elected at the council's Extra Ordinary Council Mee�ng in April, 2019. Engr Rabiu will be taking over from Engr Kashim Ali , who served two terms as President of COREN from April 2013 to April 2019.

The new COREN president was born on April 24, 1963 in Lafia, Nassaraw state, a�ended Bayero University in Kno , from where he obtained a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Civil Engineering.
