Leveraging Existing Capacity
Develop Classroom Materials: Delta IMD Course
Graduate student or post-doc (and you) participate in a Delta course such as Instructional Materials Development
Together you develop materials to enhance student learning in your course
Together you implement the materials and assess their effectiveness
Disseminate materials through the CIRTL Network
Budget for graduate student/ post-doc time
Focus on Diversity Issues: Achievement Gap Program

Partner with a graduate student or post-doc who has taken a class on diversity in Delta
Together you develop an approach to narrow the achievement gap in one of your courses
Together you implement the approach and assess its effectiveness
Budget for graduate student/ post-doc time
Leveraging Existing Capacity: Mentoring Undergraduates
You plan to bring students from diverse backgrounds into your research group through existing undergraduate research programs
You (and the graduate student or post-doc) who will mentor the undergraduate participate in research mentor training
You assess the experience of the undergraduate and you build capacity for effective mentors on your team
Leveraging Existing Capacity: Post-Doc Mentoring Plans
If you involve any post-docs in your budget, you must include a post-doc mentoring plan
Engagement in Delta or other such programs contributes to their overall professional development
Your involvement in mentor training shows your commitment to them having a good experience
Leveraging Existing Capacity: Post-Doc Mentoring Plans
If you involve any post-docs in your budget, you must include a post-doc mentoring plan
Engagement in Delta or other such programs contributes to their overall professional development

Leveraging Existing Capacity: Delta Internship Program
Your graduate student/post-doc uses a Delta internship to implement and assesses your proposed project, and/or
Increase your capacity by partnering with Delta interns associated with the program
