Downpipe

Technical Specifications

The downpipe must be built to handle the intense heat of the exhaust coming directly from the engine, and also include a provision to allow for engine movement without transferring the motion to the remainder of the exhaust system underneath the vehicle. These downpipes from Steve Petty Motorsports will increase system diameter and flow.

High Flow Cat The catalytic converter, essential for maintaining emissions requirements, can be a major restriction on a stock exhaust system. These high flow catalytic converters from Steve Petty Motorsports feature a 200 cell metallic construction to keep emissions in spec.

Resonated J-Pipe The J-pipe is the connecting piece between the high flow converter and the mid section. An exhaust resonator, through the use of opposing sound waves, will dampen and tune exhaust noise with very little effect on exhaust flow. This resonated J-pipe from Steve Petty Motorsports is one of the finest available.

Non-Resonated J-Pipe The J-pipe is the connecting piece between the high flow converter and the mid section. This non-resonated J-pipe from Steve Petty Motorsports leaves no possibility for restriction and allows the natural sound of your engine through completely undisturbed.

Street Mid-Section The street mid section from Steve Petty Motorsports incorporates a built in high flow muffler which will give you one of three results: Noise dampening when used with track pipes, a more tuned sound when used in conjunction with the resonated J-pipe, and its own unique tuned performance sound when used in conjunction with the resonated J-pipe and axle back mufflers.

Track Mid-Section The track mid section from Steve Petty Motorsports leaves no possibility for restriction, offering maximum flow and minimum disruption in the natural sound of your engine.
